To prove that I really exist!

It's funny how usually being the mom, I am the one behind the camera - the one who is hardly in any pictures. I make sure the shots look nice and memories are fondly captured on digital image. But very, very rarely am I ever in those photos.. perhaps I should invest in a tripod?
This photo was taken by a friend at my staff X-mas party on the weekend. I am not sure what was so damn funny when she was taking this but.. nevertheless.. here it is.. I DO EXIST! And it's one of the rare shots of Collin and I smiling and laughing.. at the same time.

Just before the buzz of Christmas starts...

I am really enjoying myself these days. I have enjoyed the Christmas shopping and getting things ready - our tree is up (all 8 1/2 feet of it), the house feels cozy and warm. There's a fresh dump of snow from last night.. all that's left waiting for is.... company. AND of course Christmas.

My Oma & Opa are arriving tomorrow. They will stay with my parents until Wednesday - then it's my last day of work till Jan.5th. YIPEE.. so after that they will stay with us. Collin's parents will arrive (hopefully) before New Years Eve so we will have a housefull. And.. I am not feeling stressed. It's lovely.

I may not update again before I am off for holidays so I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

A well deserved update..

I am sorry blog, I have been neglecting you as of late.. I will try better.. maybe you could be my resolution?

We have been enjoying the nice-ish winter weather here. Getting ready for Christmas and company.. it will be so nice to have so much family around. In lieu of a long story about what we've been up to.. this will be much more exciting to the senses!
