Another notch on the "Jen"TOP..

Some of you may know this inside joke but for those of you who do not.. when I was growing up.. I moved to so many towns and places that my dad kept track of them on his truck canopy. There is a brand of canopy called the GEMTOP.. but he called his, the "JEN"TOP becuase that was all he ever used it for. *sigh.. still loving you for all those KM's Dad!!

Well we have been quite busy getting our house ready to sell again. Last year we missed the market by a month or so and things seemed to really fall apart here around when it came to real estate.

But we have picked ourselves up and scraped ourselves off.. and we are ready to list again. We (and by we, sometimes that means my "best painter ever" sister) have continued to do lots of updating; painting all the bedrooms, hallway, entrance, living room, sewing room, laundry room. We've updated light fixtures, light sockets & light switches. Of course that's all in addition to all the work that we did prior to that so.. cross up your fingers all y'all.

It's kind of exciting to look at new places and think of new possibilities!

Trip to Victoria

I was invited to a conference for work that was in Victoria. Now normally I would say, "um No-ooo Mister, Ms. Jen does not fly!" (cause I'm crazy that way),,, but I really felt that it was a good work opportunity and one that I would really enjoy as taking on to be part of my workload. Anywho.. I asked *if I did go, could I drive? And the answer was "YES - crazy lady that would rather a 16+hour drive, you may!"

So with the kids and my mom in tow.. off we headed to greener pastures. And boy were they greener.. we left the hoof with -31 and arrived to a balmy, no jackets atmosphere where the kids froliked in the yard and raked grass. *sigh (remind me again why I live in the North?)

The trip was great - besides a small flu bug on day 2, we had a great time. My Auntie Margaret and Uncle David allowed us to invade their home with flu bugs, teddy bears, strange food requests and math problems. We had a lovely bunch of visits with cousins and family that we rarely get too see, and the kids had an immensely enjoyable time siteseeing. They went to Craigderroch Castle, tonnes of parks, the Marina, rowed with Shane to MaryTodd Island, went beachcombing, fed the seals (a lot - there is a seal somewhere right now, calling Jenny Craig because of us!), they played at parks, did crafts, etc, etc. It was a great holiday. The only thing missing was Collin. We sure missed him. We were also lucky enough to stay with Oma & Opa on the way there and the way back. It's great to see them too, hard not to have them in Vanderhoof anymore

Anyway, here's a small slideshow to give you an idea of all the thing we did!
