Fires, Fires, everywhere...
Well it's officially Fire Season in BC. In Vanderhoof, we haven't had temperatures like this since 1992. And it's breaking up into some nice lightening storms.. thus.. fires. http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/protect/ And so.. things are busy at the forest service, I'll try to update some photos as they become available..

tell me about it. i live in the fire capital. we have 1 large fire close by that is still burning. Yesterday there were two fires caused by lightening just behind our home. Luckily there are not a lot of trees and it was just large grass fires which they were able to put out before the winds picked up. Pretty scary though. I always keep my box of memories and photoalbums ready throughout the summer in case i need to flee and everything else can be replaced if needed. We also have a plan for getting the animals out at the Wildlife Park just in case....although we still havent found an option for the bison....poor guys. Anyways, stay safe up there. Our poor province.
by the way, those are great pictures, even though they are so sad.
