Freakish snow storm..

Well Friday it started to snow about 7 am and never stopped until last night. It was that we slushy gushy terrible snow that just stuck to everything. Collin actually flipped the Jetta onto it's side on Friday on his way home from work. Thankfully, the only damage was to a hub cap.. lucky. I am so glad that he was not hurt.
So here are some pictures.. though they don't do it any justice, of what our place looked like. The snow was so wet and so fast. We got at least a foot of snow overnight! A bunch of our trees were bent right over with the weight. Quite a few of them had the tops snap off and crash to the ground. Of course, this really gave Collin a chance to use the UGLY TRUCK to plow snow. So he was quite pleased. +++ he also got to get out the skidoo and rip around! We were out of power for the better part of Saturday but had a good time anyway. And the kids of course loved it cause it was perfect snow man weather.
So to sum it up - thank goodness for electricity and wood heat, and mittens.. we couldn't have made it without you.

I love snow. In winter...none of this rain crap! So glad to hear Collin is ok. That must have been scary. Um, how do you flip a car on it's side and only damage its hubcap? Go buy a lottery ticket...

Hey, Jeff and I were wondering if you guys got that nasty storm and lost power. We got about 6" of snow on Friday night also but nowhere around us did, just between olds and bowden. Then we got more snow on Sunday morning so we are not enjoying the new cold and snowy weather. Especially not me and having to drive to the city everyday. Good to hear that Collin is ok after flipping the car. I worry about that all the time. I hate Jeff and I both having to travel the highway to get to work. Are you guys going to Boyle for Collin and Jeffs Grandmas Birthday party? I am sure it is a big hike so you aren't but I was hoping you might be. It feels like forever since we saw you guys. We will probably end up in Boyle for a weekend after xmas this year. Jeff really wants to spend time with his family at xmas and I suppose I can't blame him. Atleast it isn't as far as Fort St. John. Ken and Gisele are coming to our place this weekend coming up because Ken has a course in Red Deer. It should be fun. Anyways, I better get back to work. Just so you know I have been posting a little bit in my blogger now. I didn't realize anybody would read it. It is pretty boring. Oh and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! And I can't wait to see pictures of the girls in their costumes.

Your place looks like ours. We only got around 6" of snow. So much fun. NOT. Glad to hear that Colin is ok. You have got to love Jetta's. Hope you have a great Halloween.
